The Bard profession in this game is probably one of the most unique professions of all. Bards can play many of the different musical instruments that are in the world of Gemstone IV, but with the added benefit of gaining extra experience and faster mind clearing times for doing so.
Bards are also proficient in the area of singing. A bard can use their voice to do many things in this game. They can purify items with their voices, which causes them to be worth more money, they can assess items with their voices, which gives an idea of what they are worth, and they can even check the history of an item with their voices, to find out what the item is for.
Bards can also use their voices for hunting, for self defense, and for determining things.
These qualities when combined together, definitely make the Bard probably the most unique and interesting profession that this game has to offer. :)
