In this game, there is another way to make silver coins in relation to what profession you have chosen for your character.

In every major city in this game, there is a single place where the majority of the people who live in that city gather together, in order to rest, socialize, make friends, etc. These places are called TOWN SQUARE CENTRALS.

The people who gather in these TOWN SQUARES have needs like any others. They need their boxes picked, they need to be healed, they need errands run, they need their weapons blessed, etc.

In these TOWN SQUARE CENTRALS, depending on what profession you have chosen for your character, there is a chance to make money off of these same needs also. The way you would do this is in the form of tips. Sometimes people pay coins as tips, sometimes gems, sometimes magic items, etc.

For example, if your character is a Rogue, and you are skilled in the art of Lock picking, then you can pick boxes for these people and collect tips from them in return.

If your character is an Empath, then you can heal these people's physical wounds in return for tips as well.

If your character is a Cleric, then you can bless these people's weapons so that they can use them to fight the undead, and they will give you tips for it.

If your character is a Sorcerer, than you can use your spell to pop boxes for people at these TOWN SQUARE CENTRALS and you can also receive tips this way as well.

So you see, depending on what profession you have chosen for your character in this game, there are many different ways to make tips so that you can earn money along the way. :)

In this game Gemstone IV, there is also another way for you and your character to make money in the game. To make silver coins. You can also get a job in any major city that you visit or live in as a town runner. What that means is that you can run errands for different NPC characters in the game and be paid in silver coins

For more information on how to become a town runner, ask around to different people in the town square central of any major city that you go to. There, they will offer you information if you ask for it in a respectful manner, that will help you on your path to start making silver coins from the different jobs that you can do.

This game Gemstone IV has it's own real estate market. You can purchase and sell homes from and to other people who play this game, in exchange for either silver coins in the game, or real Life currency outside of the game. You can also purchase a house for your own character in the game if you wish to as well.

However, houses in this game do not sell or trade for cheap. They would cost millions upon millions of silver coins in the game when attempting to purchase one through another player, by purchasing their account/character slots, etc.

So obviously, it is definitely a tall order to acquire a house in this game, but just like with opening up your own business, it can be done. :)
